So a new Kosher Indian restaurant has just opened on Brent Street. I though to myself, what could be different from the other Kosher Indians that are already open. The whole atmosphere is great from the time you walk in the door. The atmospher is great and smells were out of this world. The dishes were a bit pricey, but for a special night out, this one is a cut above the rest!
Submitted: 30 June 2008When I went to Beit Hamadras my first impression was what a great decor and ambiance they had created inside. You don't feel like your on Brent Street because the windows are frosted so you can't see the street once your inside. They have paid great attention to detail in the design of the restaurant including a stylish water feature by the desk. The food on the whole was really delicious apart from the pappodums which were a little chewy and the cocktail which was not quite right. The service was good. The service was very polite and friendly.
Submitted: 1 July 2008Ambience and decor at Beit Hamadras was great, and the food was great. Not a big fan of indian food but I was won over. The service was great and overall I would highly recommend visiting.
Submitted: 5 July 2008Great decor and nice waiters. Service was a bit slow in the begining, but courteous and polite when they came. The food was really tasty, good quality and nice presentation. Definitely on the pricey side, but well worth it!

My husband and I have been living in Israel for a few years, and have enjoyed a number of top-quality restaurants. A curry, however, has not been an option for us for a long time. So when we heard that there are a few new curry houses in London we decided to check one out.
The first thing we noticed about Beit Hamadras was the ambiance. Friendly staff, beautiful décor, a private atmosphere despite large number of tables.
For our first course we ordered the tandoori mix - different pieces of meat cooked in different combinations of spices. Each piece was wonderfully tender and tasty.
Having totally filled ourselves, our main course came. I had the beef korma - a personal favourite, my husband had a Jalfrezi. Mine was perfect, his said ‘hot’ on the menu and he was disappointed that it wasn't really hot (although it tasted hot to me!). The curries were not oily at all, perfectly flavoured and an ample portion, we ordered a plain rice to compliment.
Throughout both courses we enjoyed the complimentary sauces which we had refilled about 4 times!
We finished with a peppermint tea to wash everything down, and although were surprised at the price compared to Israel, for the UK it seemed very reasonable.
