Olive - Review
Olive is the only Persian restaurant in London and it is brilliant. The food is similar to standard middle eastern but contains an emphasis on herbs and in particular dill, pomegranates and certain spices which distinguish it from your usual run of the mill mizrachi restaurant.
Starters include stuffed vine leaves with a sweet filling, houmous and aubergine with different flavourings, as well as a salad of herbs which is refreshing. The bread is also very good.
If you are feeling unadventurous there is the possibility of grilled meats as a main course which are done very well. I would recommend having the rice rather than the chips though as it is something special and much better than you usually get.
The real main course to go for is the Choresht. This is a stew of vegetables herbs and meat and is served with rice. Vegetarians can order any of the choreshts without meat.
They also do a shabbat menu that you can order with interesting dishes not on the restaurant menu
